Elissa Love

Residence: Toronto, ON Canada
Role: Lead SFTS Model

Elissa Love has been with Shoot for the Sun™ since the pilot in 2009. She competed in the 2009 SFTS live pageant competition and was scouted for the project by demonstrating both a healthy physique as well as a strong commitment and passion for the modeling industry. She proved herself to be an extra valuable asset to SFTS when she took it upon her initiative to help with the production end of the project during our pilot season by assisting the other models during their shoots as well as enlisting herself to help out with project fundraising and media relations. She was asked to return for the filming of Season 1 | Canada as the lead model for the project as well as a mentor for the other models. Since coming on board Elissa has made herself a star both on and off camera during the Shoot for the Sun™ productions and continues to work diligently at making sure the brand continues to grow.

Whitney Shayne

Residence: Red Deer, AB Canada
Role: Supporting Lead SFTS Model

Whitney Shayne had decided one day that although she had never tried modeling in her life she thought she would give it a go and compete in the 2009 live SFTS pageant competition for the Shoot for the Sun™ pilot project. The casting panel couldn’t have been happier to see her out, as this Central Alberta small town girl had a natural beauty that trumped her competition. Her fist shoot with SFTS did not only turn out amazing, but it was very well received by the Shoot for the Sun™ Swimsuit Calendar purchasers; and she landed the cover of the pilot calendar. Since then Whitney has been called back to shoot Season 1 | Canada with SFTS as the supporting lead model and the buzz to pick up her latest calendar shoot began the same day she was signed for the season.

“I was one of the lucky few selected to be a part of Shoot for the Sun™ [pilot project] as ‘Miss May’ and was also chosen as the cover girl :). I honestly didn’t believe I had would make it as far as I did and it was the most eye opening, exciting experience I have had in my life so far, the word "fun" would be the worlds biggest understatement!!!! Everything from the limo ride with all the girls and crew, the helicopter ride, doing radio spots, release parties, and basically getting to live like a rockstar.  I got to work with some amazing professionals and I made some awesome friends for life. Johanna MacDougall

Role: SFTS Model

Johanna Macdougall applied for Shoot for the Sun™ with a single clear message to the casting director: “Put your faith in me and I’ll return the favour many times over with my hard work and dedication to SFTS”. Johanna definitely didn’t drop her promise when she was casted for
Season 1 | Canada. On top of the many sleepless hours of preparation she endured during her late night and early morning SFTS shoots, Johanna has taken a strong initiative to facilitate the brand with media outlets and grow the brand to a new fan base. Johanna has become as much a key role in front of the camera as she has behind the camera; with an eye on the prize as SFTS’s top model. Johanna is definitely one model to keep a close eye on as she takes her ambitions to a new height.

Chara Krangle came to Shoot for the Sun™ with a unique decadence of high class beauty mixed with small town girl charm. One of the most easy going models SFTS has had the pleasure to work with, she executed every shot with a flair for elegance and sophistication. It takes the right model to make a shot look as classy as it does sexy, and she was able to capture it on every take. Chara was the first model to shoot for Season 1 | Canada. She came in with complete commitment, professionalism and set the bar high for all future models to bring their A game to Shoot for the Sun™.

Venessa Jay

Residence: Vancouver, BC Canada
Role: SFTS Model

Venessa Jay was the second novice model chosen for Shoot for the Sun™ Season 1 | Canada. Although she had only done one shoot in the past you wouldn’t be able to tell by her SFTS calendar shots. Even as the elements were against Venessa during her shoot with tight time frames, tight quarters and rugged terrain; she was able to impress us more than any other model at how easy it was to shoot her under all the unfavourable circumstances. Venessa may be a novice model by hours clocked in front of a camera, but she was born with a natural ability to model.  Look forward to Venessa's swimsuit calendar debut in season 1 | Canada of SFTS.

Tina Chase

Residence: Red Deer, AB Canada
Role: SFTS Model

Tina Chase is one of the hardest working women in the modeling industry. On top of pursuing a career in modeling in the little spare time she manages to block off, Tina is a full force business woman in Alberta. Tina took over the management of a family hotel and has been running it successfully since her ambitious dive into the family business. With such a commitment for perusing her ambitions and a solid referral from a respected photographer, Tina was an easy cast for Shoot for the Sun™ to make. Even beyond her SFTS shoot and her business obligations Tina continues to support Shoot for the Sun™ in any way she can  get involved proving to be a solid SFTS asset.

Marnie McDowell

Residence: Victoria, BC Canada
Role: SFTS Model

Marnie McDowell is as free spirited as they come. Having grown up an island girl on Vancouver Island she has spent much of her life surfing the endless beaches of Tofino, BC. It was a no brainer for Shoot for the Sun™ to cast Marnie as our surfer girl for the Season 1 | Canada swimsuit calendar. Marnie’s love for ocean and waves proved to not only be contagious with the other cast members, but it shines through in her photo shoot as well. Marnie was with SFTS for only a single quick shoot day; however she made friends with all the cast and crew the second we met her and was missed just as quickly when the shoot was over.

Krystle Millions

Residence: Vancouver, BC Canada
Role: SFTS Model

Krystle Millions had applied for the online Shoot for the Sun™ casting competition.  She comes from a talented and creative background as a song writer and singer when she isn’t posing for the camera. What we had expected when we casted Krystle was a talented model that would produce some beautiful pictures; but what we didn’t expect was that she would also be the one to bring humour to all of our production days. As daring as she is to capture risqué tree top photo shoots, she is as light hearted and funny. During her shoots she was completely focused and committed to the shot, however outside of her shooting time she was always the one to lighten up the moment with her unpredictable character. It is as much a pleasure to work with Krystle professionally as it is to have her as a friend off set.
